Mark Ruffalo’s family is always there for him. His Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony was no exception, with his wife, Sunrise Coigney, and their children, Keen, 22, and Bella Roche, 18, all in attendance. It was a family affair, indeed.
However, their youngest daughter, Odette, was noticeably absent. But the Avengers actor didn’t let that dampen the spirit of the occasion. He made sure to give his family a special mention during his speech.
Ruffalo acknowledged that his star wasn’t just for him. It was for everyone who had influenced him throughout his life and career. His star was a tribute to all those who had left an indelible mark on him.
He dedicated it to his wife, Sunrise. “It’s for my wife Sunrise, who’s been with me through all of it,” he said. They’ve been married for 23 years, and she’s been his rock. “Who believed in me more than anybody. You always tell me the truth,” he added.
Then, he turned his attention to his kids. “My kids, Bella and Keen and Odette, you’ve taught me so much about being a parent, about being a man, about being an actor,” he said. He emphasized that the star was theirs too.
“And this is your star, my whole family, in ways that you will not understand for some time,” he concluded. His words hinted at a deeper meaning, a sentiment that they might not fully grasp until later.
