Those waiting for more Street Fighter 6 content can look forward to another itch scratched later today. Capcom will be airing their first installment of a new stream series called “Metro City Academy” in which they will share in-depth explanations and character breakdowns as a way of teaching fans more about the game before it drops later this year.
The company announced on Twitter yesterday that today’s stream will also bring something entirely new for fans to enjoy. Capcom is gearing up to reveal newcomer Marisa’s theme song during this live stream.
“We’re debuting Marisa’s Theme in tomorrow’s episode of Metro City Academy and giving away a Street Fighter Alpha 3 soundtrack on vinyl!” wrote the official Street Fighter Twitter account. As the tweet mentions, viewers will also have the chance to win a classic Street Fighter soundtrack as well.
During The Game Awards back in December, Capcom unveiled four previously unseen characters for Street Fighter 6. Returning world warrior Dee Jay was added to the mix, as well as newcomers JP, Manon, and Marisa.
Marisa is a towering fighter who claims to have ancient Greek warrior ancestors. She hails from Italy where she works as an up-and-coming jewelry designer, and she fights utilizing big, powerful strikes that can armor through oncoming attacks.
The community’s reception to Marisa has been very positive so far, and it feels like everyone is dying to hear more about the recently revealed combatants. Today, we’ll be learning a little more about Marisa, so set an alarm.
This inaugural episode of Metro City Academy is set to go live at 1 p.m. PT and will be streaming on Capcom Fighters.
