We’ve had a good seven months of Street Fighter 6 action now, but the international sparks flew like crazy during the intense action of FAV Cup 2023.
Though the main event was an 8 man invitational bracket featuring some of the most recognizable names in the business, an entire last chance qualifier preceded it to determine the final competitor. We have the character usage stats from the top 32 of this LCQ so you can see how popular (or not) each of the game’s 20 roster members were at the event.
The two most prominent characters were Luke and JP, no surprises there, and while Ken was far and away the most used in the main event (there were three, and Grand Finals was a Ken mirror) there were only three Ken representatives in this bracket.
With a somewhat surprising showing it was Marisa who came in second with four different players choosing her (including the most prominent Marisa user to date: NASR|BigBird). Chun-Li technically tied with Ken while Guile and Dee Jay both saw a pair of appearances.
Seven of the game’s 20 characters did not appear a single time in the top 32. This list included the likes of Ryu, Lily, Jamie, Kimberly, E. Honda, Blanka, and Manon.
