Marcus Rashford grew up a Manchester United fan and lived every supporter’s dream.
He won trophies, scored iconic European winners, and heard 80,000 fans chant his name.
He showed flashes of the superstar he seemed destined to become from a young age, with his best season coming under Erik ten Hag when he reached the 30-goal mark.
However, he struggled to build on that success, held back by inconsistency.
However, Rashford’s time at Manchester United now seems to be nearing its end.
In a recent interview with Henry Winter, Rashford all but confirmed his departure, stating, “For me personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge.”
This revelation comes after a difficult start under Ruben Amorim, with Rashford dropped for the Manchester derby.
It’s not the ending Rashford or United fans would have hoped for, but given Amorim’s style and the club’s current direction, it feels like the right decision for all parties.
Rashford’s talent will ensure he has no shortage of suitors when he moves on – but where did it all go wrong for him at Manchester United?
