Manchester United outcast Marcus Rashford could complete a shock move this summer, according to reports.
Rashford, after making 426 appearances for the Red Devils, left the club to join Aston Villa in the winter transfer window in search of consistent game time.
And since joining the Villans, the winger has impressed, with eight goal contributions, including a brace of assists against Chelsea.
Villa do have an option to buy included in the loan deal, worth around £40m reportedly, but should they not choose to activate it, United will need to find a solution.
Reports have suggested Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim will hold talks with Rashford if he returns, but that the club would still be willing to sell.
Arsenal and PSG have been linked in the past, but that option looks unlikely in the summer.
According to The Sun, a shock option could present itself to Rashford and United in the summer.
The report claims that Crystal Palace are plotting a move for the England international, and would like to talk to the player, should Villa not activate their buy option.
Oliver Glasner’s team have enjoyed a superb second half of the season, climbing to 12th in the Premier League and powering past Fulham to the FA Cup semi-final.
Palace accept they may have to keep their best players in order to convince a star of Rashford’s calibre to join.
Eberichi Eze, Ismaila Sarr and Jean-Philippe Mateta are just a few of several standout Palace players this season who may attract interest in the summer.
There would be a trodden pathway at Palace for Rashford in the form of Wilfried Zaha, who switched Old Trafford for Selhurst Park in 2015 and spent almost a decade with the Eagles, writing himself into Palace history in South London before moving on.
