Marcus Rashford is set for talks with Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim if he returns this summer, according to the Daily Star.

The England international swapped Old Trafford for Villa Park on loan in January, after his relationship with Amorim reportedly had broken down.

And since joining Aston Villa, Rashford has rediscovered some of the ability that saw him enjoy productive years with the Red Devils.

With four assists and three goals since joining, the winger has looked to prove a point to United ahead of a possible return in the summer.

Villa reportedly have an option to buy included in the loan deal, with a £40m fee enough to retain Rashford’s services permanently in Birmingham.

Should they choose not to activate it, however, Rashford will hold talks with Amorim this summer.

The meeting will aim to clear the air between the two, ahead of a possible transition back into the United squad.

The report claims that United are still willing to sell Rashford, should Villa not activate the option, but will include him in their pre-season tour squad if a deal cannot be made.

Rashford, who played 426 games for United and scored 138 goals, was accused by Amorim of not buying into his ideas.

The Portuguese coach claimed there was “nothing personal” with the winger, but that Rashford “has to change”.

After the Englishman was left out of the squad for multiple matches, and told the media he was ready for “a new challenge”, a move was finally confirmed in the closing days of the winter transfer window.

Following Rashford’s brace in the FA Cup against Preston North End, Amorim said: “Rashford is not my player at the moment, but every player that performs well on loan is good news for our club, so we are happy with that.”
