What a tumultuous few days it has been for Marcus Rashford.
The Manchester born attacker started against Viktoria Plzen in the UEFA Europa League but was substituted after a poor performance.
His removal from the game coincided with The Red Devils coming from behind and claiming a late 2-1 victory.
But that was only the start of the problems.
Rashford was left out altogether for the game against Manchester City this weekend.
Normally the exact type of player who would shine in the Manchester derby, Marcus Rashford was at home where he was left to just celebrate the victory from his living room.
And if that was the end of it, it seems it was only the beginning.
That’s because Manchester United have placed Marcus Rashford on the transfer list, following a cultural reboot set to take place at the club.
Jamie Jackson, writing for The Guardian, has confirmed the news after Rashford was left out the squad following United’s 2-1 away win at Manchester City.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe has emphasised the importance of having a positive culture and high standard set at United.

Ratcliffe is reportedly willing to accept short-term setbacks for long-term progress, a mindset that also led to the departure of sporting director Dan Ashworth after just five months, despite United paying £5m to secure him from Newcastle.
Manager Ruben Amorim has also backed Rashford’s exit, seeing it as a necessary step to drive cultural change across the club.
United are open to a cut-price deal for the forward, though his £365,000-a-week salary limits potential suitors to a handful of clubs.
The recent confirmation of Rashford being placed on the transfer list won’t come as so much of a surprise to United fans across the globe.
Rashford’s performances for the club throughout the past decade have been deemed as inconsistent and unacceptable.
The 27-year-old broke onto the scene under Louis Van Gaal in 2016, displaying a refreshing level of hunger and attitude.
Fast forward 8 years – it has been a struggle for Rashford to say the least.
The wide attacker has understandably been affected by off-the-pitch issues, as well as instability within the club surrounding the structure and change in managers.
Alejandro Garnacho was another left out of the squad against City, although Rashford’s expected departure is set to free up the pathway for Garnacho to be the first-choice winger down the left flank.
This week might have just signalled the beginning of the end of Marcus Rashford as a Manchester United player.
