Manchester United have been in an injury crisis all season, with a plethora of issues which have greatly hampered any kind of consistency and sustained performances.

Man United held Liverpool to a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford on Sunday, but not without some injury concerns, as has been the case all season.

Going into the game, Manchester United were still reeling from the loss of both Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans in Thursday’s unbelievable defeat to Chelsea.

As such, young defender Willy Kambwala was handed his first start for the club, but he held his own alongside Harry Maguire to his credit.

Marcus Rashford also came off injured in the second half, a very worrying trend of injuries, it must be said.

Scott Mctominay also had to miss the Liverpool game with injury, which makes in 56 different injuries to Manchester United’s senior team this season alone.

Erik ten Hag is hopeful Rashford’s issue will not be the 57th case, and he is hopeful and confident he will have the English winger back in time for Saturday’s Bournemouth clash.

The 26-year-old played little over an hour before he signalled to the bench that he wanted to be replaced and fell to a heap on the pitch before he was eventually substituted for Antony.

Speaking to the media after the game, ten Hag mentioned how he hoped the injury wasn’t too serious and Rashford wouldn’t have to miss a game.

“I’m not sure, but I don’t think it will be long term,” he told MUTV

Judging by the private nature of the medical information, ten Hag is not always 150% forthcoming on injury updates, while he has often reiterated that it takes roughly 24 hours before an accurate diagnosis can be made.

Perhaps there will be an official club communication on the state of Rashford, and if not, ten Hag will certainly be asked for an update at the Pre-Match press conference before the Bournemouth clash.
