Marcus Rashford says Aston Villa’s “constant ambition” attracted him to join the club.
The 27-year-old joined Villa on loan from Manchester United until the end of the season.
He had not featured for United since their win over Viktoria Plzen in December.
Rashford was linked with AC Milan and Barcelona before sealing his move to Villa Park.
This will be the first time he plays for a club other than United.
He made 426 first-team appearances for the Red Devils since his debut in 2016.
Villa are still competing in the Champions League and fighting for a top-four finish.
Rashford says the club’s ambition and European football made Villa his preferred choice.

Speaking to Villa TV, he expressed excitement about joining the squad.
“It’s an ambitious time for this club,” he said in his first interview.
“It’s a great opportunity for me to help them keep pushing forward.”
He praised manager Unai Emery, calling him “a top manager.”
“Their constant ambition is attractive and why you want to join such a club.”
Villa are in the Champions League last-16 and Rashford wants to help them go far.
“If you don’t aim to win it, you’ll never win it,” he said of their European hopes.
Rashford also spoke about adjusting to a new club for the first time.
“It’s been more excitement, not scared of going into a new environment,” he added.
“It’s an ambitious time for this club and a great opportunity for me to join the team.”

Knowing teammates like Ollie Watkins and Ezri Konsa has helped his transition.
Rashford initially played under Erik ten Hag but was sidelined by Ruben Amorim.
He scored in Amorim’s first game but was later restricted to substitute roles.
He was eventually left out of the squad entirely before sealing his move.
Rashford could make his Villa debut against Tottenham in the FA Cup fourth round.
Explaining his decision, he highlighted Villa’s strong position and ambition.
“They’re pushing to get higher and have a great manager and talented squad.”
He believes Villa’s style suits him and will help him rediscover his best form.
“The biggest competition for the club to be involved in is the Champions League.”
“It’ll be a new experience for me playing for Villa in it,” he admitted.
“But the aim will be the same: to try our best to win it.”
