Manchester United are close to seeing wantaway star Marcus Rashford depart the club, albeit just for six months.
Back in December, Rashford announced he wanted a new challenge away from Old Trafford, set to leave the club he’s been with since the age of seven.
United made the decision to part ways with Rashford, partially due to the financial boost it would give the club, but also due to his level of focus.
As a graduate of the United academy, Rashford would be considered as pure profit under Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), not to mention freeing up his £325,000 per week salary.
However, his attitude in training has also caused issues, with The Red Devils feeling that several off-field factors are affecting his on-pitch focus.
This has been reiterated by Ruben Amorim recently who responded to consistently leaving Rashford out of match-day squads by saying: “I will put Vital [on the bench] before I put a player that doesn’t give the maximum every day so I will not change that.”
Since being dropped from the squad and put on the transfer market, several top European clubs, including Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and Barcelona, have all met with Rashford’s agent over a potential deal.
Unfortunately, nothing materialised, with his wages proving too much for clubs even to take him on loan with United contributing to the wage.
However, now the Turkish team, Galatasaray are looking likely to seal the attacker’s signature.

Galatasaray close in on signing Marcus Rashford
Turkish outlet Fotomac has reported that the Turkish Super Lig leaders are close to reaching an agreement for a six-month loan for the 27-year-old.
It’s expected that Rashford will be used both in a strike partnership with Victor Osimhen and out on the left wing when a three-pronged attack is preferred.
In another boost to United, Galatasaray are also reported as able to pay his full salary, valued at £7.8 million for the rest of the season.
With less than a week left of the transfer window, and local rivals, Fenerbahce and Besiktas also interested in Rashford, Galatasaray will need to move quickly if they want to seal a deal for the United star.
