Manchester United’s struggles this season have not been limited to the pitch.
The club sits in 14th, leaking goals while failing to score consistently.
In addition to poor results, off-field issues have also plagued key players.
Marcus Rashford’s situation has become one of the biggest talking points.
Despite rejecting three lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia, Rashford’s future at Old Trafford remains uncertain.
Recent reports have linked him with moves to Borussia Dortmund and Napoli.
A potential swap deal involving Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has also surfaced.
However, whether such a deal materialises is far from certain.
What is clear is that Rashford faces an uphill battle to revive his United career.
United journalist Laurie Whitwell has shed light on where things have gone wrong.

Writing for The Athletic, Whitwell details a December incident that contributed to Rashford’s absence from the starting XI.
Following a 4-0 win over Everton a game where Rashford scored twice, Ruben Amorim learned Rashford had been out in Manchester.
This reportedly took place on Friday, November 29, less than 48 hours before a crucial game.
Rashford denied the claims, insisting Amorim was misinformed and that his night was not a late one.
Despite this, Amorim maintains a strict stance on players frequenting bars close to matches.
Three days later, Rashford was benched for the trip to Arsenal.
Since then, he has started just once – in a Europa League clash against Viktoria Plzen.
Whitwell describes Rashford’s situation as “complicated,” with his path back into Amorim’s plans looking bleak.
In total, Rashford has played just 118 minutes out of a possible 720 since the Everton match.
He featured off the bench against Arsenal and Nottingham Forest but was hooked early against Plzen after an underwhelming display.
Reports suggest Rashford’s lackluster showing in training before the Manchester derby also influenced Amorim’s decisions.
Rumors swirled that Rashford had been out the night prior, though his camp strongly denies this.
Rashford reportedly feels unfairly targeted, believing he faces more scrutiny than other Premier League players.
Ultimately, Amorim’s decisions stem from his observations and standards for the squad.
Whitwell suggests Amorim’s tough stance aims to send a clear message to Rashford and the rest of the team.
Rashford’s future at Old Trafford now looks to be over.
