Mane and Co stunned Messi, MSN as Liverpool rout Barcelona 4-0 at Wembley

Barcelona missed a chance of claiming the International Champions Cup as they were beaten by Jurgen Klopp’s hard working Liverpool side. Although, not Liverpool that claimed the trophy but Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

For Luiz Suarez returning to Liverpool, it was like he’s going to bite the hand that fed him, but apparently not that of Klopp as his missed out some golden chances to put his name in the record book.

Despite starting Messi, Suarez, Mascherano and Sergio Busquet Ter Stegen, it was Jurgen Klopp’s men who were at their very best against the shimmering La Liga champions, that took the lead through the brilliant effort from new signing, Sadio Mane.

The first 45 minutes ended 1-0, courtesy of Mane’s strike. The second half began with a high tempo from the incredible English side as Origi curling effort puts Javier Mascherano into pressure leaving him bundling the ball into his own goal against his former club.

Divock Origi strike and a looping stoppage-time Marko Grujic header added more misery to the Spanish Giants as a deserved scoreline left Lionel Messi and his team-mates embarrassed at Wembley.

Before Barca could get to the grips with Liverpool’s dynamic attacking play, the game and the tournament was beyond them, handing PSG the title.

Luis Enrique’s side must now hope for an improved display in the Supercopa de Espana against Sevilla, while Liverpool start their Premier League campaign at Arsenal next weekend.

Do have a fantastic weekend ahead…
