Now, another highly-rated academy prospect has secured his future with the club and could be set to follow in their footsteps.
Bendito Mantato is set to sign his first professional contract with Manchester United next week.
The signing was reported on CentreDevils earlier, with the youngster committing his future to the club until June 2029.
The 17-year-old winger is regarded as one of the brightest talents in United’s academy.
Jason Wilcox played a key role in finalising the deal.
Manager Ruben Amorim is also a firm admirer of the youngster and is eager to integrate him into the senior setup.
Bendito Mantato debut timeframe revealed
Amorim is keen to hand Mantato his first-team debut before the end of the season.
That is according to AcademyScoop on X, who also stated that Amorim has recognised the qualities that Mantato can immediately bring to the first-team.
The teenager has impressed with his attacking versatility.
He has transitioned from a left-back to a right-winger, where he has thrived.
His standout performance came in a 5-2 win over Blackburn Rovers, where he scored four goals for the Under-18s.
Mantato has already been involved in first-team training sessions.
His rapid development has put him in contention for a senior appearance.
With United’s focus on youth continuing to strengthen, his debut could mark the beginning of another exciting academy success story at Old Trafford.
