For a while, Manchester United have been linked with teenage sensation Estevao, better known as Messinho. The rumours ramble on and get even more interesting.

In the January transfer window, Mundo Deportivo revealed that the Red Devils were bidding hard to lure the 16-year-old playmaker, who has a release clause of 60 million euros in his contract.

The teenager is a wanted player in the market and if the latest reports in the media are anything to go by then Man Utd are willing to offer even more than the clause to seal his signing.

According to Spanish source, Fichajes, Real Madrid also want to lure the Palmeiras sensation and as such, they report that The Red Devils are willing to offer even more than the release clause demands.

Real Madrid will pose a massive threat considering their well-documented pedigree of signing Brazilian teenage sensations like Vini Jr, Rodrygo and are now waiting for Endrick to arrive.

It is for this reason why United are not prepared to go into a bidding war with Los Blancos and are opting to grossly overpay, considering it a reasonable return on investment on the 16-year-old.

It is reported that Man Utd are willing to submit a bid worth 90 million euros, an offer that neither Real Madrid nor any other team would be ready to pay.

Messinho mainly features on the right wing, a position that United need to reinforce in the summer as big money signing, Antony, has proved to be a huge flop.

Amid massive interest from United, Chelsea and Arsenal, Estevao mentioned that a move to Catalan giants Barcelona was his ultimate dream, citing inspiration from compatriot Neymar.

Perhaps this revelation could convince him not to sign for Madrid, considering the eternal El Clásico sacred divide.

All in all, it makes little sense to spend 90 million euros on a teenager, who has only made five senior appearances in his career and is yet to start for Palmeiras.
