Manchester United are reportedly setting their sights on PSV Eindhoven’s talented playmaker, Johan Bakayoko. This interest places them in direct competition with Liverpool, who are also keen on the Belgian star.
Sport 1’s Christopher Michel has highlighted Manchester United’s growing interest in the Belgian sensation, known for his impressive performances in the Dutch league.
Bakayoko, whose contract with PSV is set to end in 2026, is currently valued at about £34.6 million, equivalent to 40 million euros, according to Michel.

Liverpool’s interest in Bakayoko was evident last summer, and recent reports suggest they remain intent on bringing him to Anfield, as reported by Paisley Gates.
Manchester United’s pursuit comes in the wake of their significant investment in Brazilian international Antony, acquired from Ajax for a substantial £86 million.
Antony, however, has not lived up to expectations at Old Trafford, failing to score or assist in the 20 appearances under Ten Hag this season. His overall contribution to the club stands at 8 goals and 3 assists in 64 games.
In a stark contrast, Bakayoko has been a key figure for PSV, contributing four goals and thirteen assists across all competitions. Under his influence, PSV has achieved a remarkable run, winning all sixteen of their league matches and advancing to the Round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League.
