When it comes to United, injuries have been a major problem for the entire season. Harry Maguire is the only fit centre-back available currently, while Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are the most notable absentees the attack.

Erik ten Hag did provide a positive update on Mason Mount, saying that he will return to the squad for this game.

In even better news, the Dutchman said on Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez and Anthony Martial: ”They returned, all three on the pitch. Next week they have to make a step into team training and we think they can be available for the last weeks [of the season].”

The imminent returns of Shaw and Martinez in particular will be vital for United’s upcoming clash with bitter rivals Manchester City in the Emirates FA Cup final, set to be played on May 25.
