Gabriele Biancheri has been the story of the season so far at Manchester United’s academy.
The 18-year-old striker has scored nine goals in six games for the U18s and U21s.
Ethan Wheatley starts ahead of Biancheri for the U21s and has bagged two goals in six league appearances this campaign.
However, below these two in the pecking order is another forward making a name for himself at Carrington.

Amir Ibragimov has three goal contributions in four games for the U18s this season, despite only playing 83 total minutes for them.
The Russian-born player has represented England at U15 and U16 levels, after moving to the country at 11 years old.
On Wednesday night, United’s U17 side fought back from 2-0 down to win 5-2 against rivals Liverpool.
Ibragimov fueled this comeback, scoring a hat trick to continue his excellent form this season.
The 16-year-old left-winger contributed two assists for the U18s in their 4-0 win over Middlesbrough last Saturday.
He now has six goal contributions in his last three games for United at both U18 and U17 levels.

Ibragimov missed most of last season due to various injuries, meaning he was unable to showcase his talents.
In that time, Biancheri scored 17 goals in 27 games in a domestic treble-winning season for United’s U18s.
While United fans would like to see all academy talents succeed, there is undoubtedly competition between the players.
United academy insider, ‘@AcademyScoop’ on X, revealed that Ibragimov targets to make his senior debut this season.
With the chains of injury now loose, Ibragimov has the chance to prove why he should be the next talent out of Carrington to feature for Erik ten Hag’s first team.
