United are under pressure to start making some sales this transfer window.
Deals are getting closer for the likes of Joshua Zirkzee and Matthijs de Ligt, however the Red Devils have only got between £40 million and £60 million this summer for transfers, meaning that sales will need to be completed in order to bring in more funds to secure all of United’s key targets.
United have developed a shortlist of seven individuals who they are looking to offload this summer, including Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Christian Eriksen, Casemiro, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood, in the aim to raise close to £200 million for transfers.
Whilst Lindelof, Maguire and Casemiro feature in this list, with all three entering the final year of their contract, it seems as though some of United’s stars who were expected to leave with contracts coming to an end next year may actually be retained.
According to HITC, United have ‘turned down’ an offer from an unknown European club for Amad.
Having joined the club in 2021, the winger has had the opportunity to show his potential towards the end of last season, with the star hoping to shine in the pre-season to earn a new squad role this coming season.
The report explained that an unnamed club, described as a ‘European giant’ was offering a bid of more than £30million for the Ivorian.
United are said to have responded to the offer by saying they have ‘zero interest’ in letting him go, however unless contract negotiations for a renewal can be agreed soon, the club could risk losing the star on a free transfer next summer.
