Manchester United’s recruitment team are on an impressive run of scouting young talent around the globe.
The Red Devils are currently maintaining a foot in the race for the Argentine midfielder Franco Mastantuono from River Plate.
Mastantuono has a release clause of £33.3 million (€40 million) and is attracting interest from top clubs like Chelsea, PSG and AC Milan. However, United are determined to be at the head of the pack to sign the star.
Then in Norway, The Red Devils are keeping tabs on Sverre Halseth Nypan, Rosenborg’s star midfielder billed as the next Martin Odegaard.
Unfortunately for United, they have not been able to make a move for him due to his age and Brexit laws preventing the transfer of an under-18-year-old into a British club from Europe. However, with Nypan turning 18 in December, The Red Devils can make their move in January.

Much closer to home is the exciting prospect of Chris Rigg who is lighting up the Championship with Sunderland.
Being the third youngest player to reach 30 appearances in the English second division, Rigg has been likened to Jude Bellingham amid links to United and Borussia Dortmund for the coming transfer window.
However, it’s now an incredibly talented young winger in Portugal that is catching United’s eye.
United declare interest in Geovany Quenda
Manchester United have been looking into Sporting’s young winger Geovany Quenda.
Reports from A Bola, as reported by Tribal Football have reported that United have begun scouting the 17-year-old who has burst into the Sporting starting lineup from the academy.
Taking in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo, Quenda was given his chance in the pre-season and hasn’t looked back since.
With 12 appearances across all competitions, grabbing a goal and assist, Quenda has even received a call-up to the Portuguese national Squad for their UEFA Nations League A fixtures, although is yet to make his international debut.
However, unfortunately for United, Sporting rewarded the winger with a new contract in September, sealing him at the club until 2027 with a release clause of £83.3 million (€100 million).
With United’s finances already struggling, having Sir Jim Ratcliffe making drastic cuts to avoid PSR breaches, it’s unlikely that The Red Devils will be able to secure Quenda’s services any time soon, however only time can tell.
