For big clubs like Manchester United, pre-season tours are a vital part of their schedule.
They give a chance to test out youngsters who’ve come through the academy, give new signings a chance to fit into the squad and work on players’ fitness ready for the main season campaigns.
Last summer, The Red Devils did a tour of the United States, facing Arsenal, Real Betis and Liverpool before returning to face Manchester City in the Community Shield.
Whilst United have previously organised their own tours, they are now agreeing to take part in the Premier League Summer Series this summer, once more in the states.

Manchester United to compete in 2025 Premier League Summer Series
The first Summer Series took part in 2023 on the East Coast of the USA, however United failed to take part.
Now, The Daily Mail has reported the club will be participating in the event organised by the Premier League, who will also be organising commercial events alongside the tournament.
Whilst the other competitors are yet to be confirmed, the mini-tournament is not without interest.
It’s understood the League will be aiming for six teams, with Bournemouth in talks to be a part of the line-up.
The host venues are also yet to be finalised, however, the 2023 tournament was played in Atlanta, New Jersey, Orlando, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. It’s thought that the East Coast will once more be the region to host the event, however, specific cities are yet unknown.
