Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS are set to change the transfer policy at the Theatre of Dreams opting to signing young, promising British talent as The Daily Mail pointed out a while ago.
Crystal Palace have an abundance of this profile of players in particular centre back Marc Guehi and attackers Michael Olise and Ebe Eze.
The Eagles’ trio has been attracting a lot of interest up and down Europe as they show plenty of promise and potential.
United’s interest in Olise is well documented and INEOS board already green-lit his signing to be the first of this new era as centredevils covered.
As Teamtalk now report, United are as well monitoring tricky winger Ebe Eze.
According to the report, United will have to battle fellow Premier League side Tottenham to secure the young winger’s signature.
“TEAMtalk sources state that Palace’s chances of retaining the England international beyond this season are increasingly slim as their Premier League rivals prepare summer bids for him.” the report states.
“Manchester United have been heavily linked with Eze recently but we understand that Tottenham are firmly in the race for his signature.” the report concludes.
Eze is an incredibly gifted young man capable of playing on either flank and in midfield as well. His versatility is one of his biggest selling points and he could easily fit in in many systems.
Eze signed a new deal at Selhurst Park last year so it is very likely Palace’s asking price will be quite hefty.
It is worth noting that perhaps Palace don’t have the capacity to hold off big clubs with big budgets and could easily accept a good enough offer.
It will be interesting to see if United actualize on this interest as well as Olise’s interest come the summer.
