Manchester United and Adidas are in rhythm of generating new kits paying homage to some of the most beloved previous strips.
Footyheadlines recently leaked the new line of 2025 icon retro lifestyle collection based on United’s kits from the late 1980s.
The two shirts, one red and one black, replicate the previous designs worn on the pitch, including the United crest worn between 1988 and 1990.
However, now United and Adidas are at it again, with their new third kit for the 2025/26 season taking inspiration from the 1995 away kit.
United’s new kit, imagined by Opaleak based on the leaks so far, takes the club back to the black kit of the mid 1990s, with a striped body of black and dark grey, featuring yellow detailing.
The kit also features the yellow Trefoil logo, three yellow strips on the shoulders and the classic United crest in yellow on a separate shield shaped badge, embroidered to the shirt with a dark blue trim.
The neckline features a yellow rim, resembling the collar of the 1990s shirt, with a faint blue trim, which also features on the rim of the sleeves.
Standing in the centre of the shirt in yellow is the Snapdragon logo we’re now used to seeing on the United tops.
Much like the shirt, the shorts are black, featuring the same shield mounted crest and yellow trefoil Adidas logo.
The black socks feature the same trefoil Adidas logo, with the new United crest in yellow and a triple blue line around the rim of the sock.
