Ruben Amorim is trying to restore Manchester United to their former glory, however, is looking for reinforcements to get the job done.
Amorim has inherited Erik ten Hag’s squad, including £600 million in transfers over the two and a half years the Dutchman was at the club.
As such, United’s new manager is trying to adjust the existing squad from a 4-2-3-1 to a 3-4-3.
The centre-backs and defensive midfielders have slotted in well, however, Amorim is still struggling with his strikers and wide players.
Amorim is having to rely on Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee as the only out-and-out strikers. Zirkzee’s debut season at United has been questionable, receiving limited game time before Amorim’s arrival, whilst Hojlund is yet to establish himself as a consistently prolific striker.
As such, United are looking further afield to find a reliable goalscorer to add strength to their attack.
Over the recent weeks, United have been linked to strikers like Victor Boniface of Bayer Leverkusen, Victor Osimhen of Napoli and Omar Marmoush of Eintracht Frankfurt.
However, another name is now coming into the equation.
TBR Football has reported that United are looking to Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic as another option up front.

Manchester United scout Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic
United have competition, however, from Premier League rivals, Chelsea and Arsenal.
This season, Vlahovic has scored nine goals, with two assists in 17 games, continuing to add to his 50 goals and 11 assists for Juventus so far in 118 matches.
However, a downside to the striker is his often “nervous” attitude in front of goal.
Juventus manager Thiago Motta recently commented: “How can we help him be less nervous [in front of goal]? I agree that it’s something he needs to improve, but he’s progressing well. It’s clear that, as a striker, he lives for goals. But he brings us much more than that, contributing both offensively and defensively.”
With this in mind and United’s tightening transfer budget, the £60 million that Juventus want for him may prove too much of a risk for The Red Devils.
