Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim sees no issue with players clashing on the pitch, describing it as “a very good sign” for the team.
Amorim addressed the matter during Thursday’s press conference following United’s 2-1 comeback win over Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League.
Rasmus Hojlund was the star of the night, scoring both goals for the visitors in a performance that may well have gone either way.

Amad Diallo and Rasmus Hojlund were spotted in a fiery exchange at full-time, showing frustration after miscommunication during late counterattacks as United sought to seal the victory.
Amad approached Hojlund, who seemed to dismiss his teammate.
The pair then exchanged words, with footage showing Amad grabbing Hojlund by the arm, with the Denmark striker fighting him off.
Rasmus Hojlund then seemed to be away from Amad Diallo with nothing more seen on the pitch between the pair.
Despite the disagreement, both had key roles in securing the three points, and Ruben Amorim believes such passion reflects their commitment to the team’s success.
Speaking after the game, Amorim said: “The players care deeply, and I welcome that,” emphasising that such moments only demonstrate their hunger to win.
“For me, it’s perfect…we need to feel something.
“If we need to fight each other, it’s like a family.
“For me, it’s a very, very good sign”.
Amorim explained that such moments show passion and care within the squad.
“When you don’t care, you do nothing.
“When you care, you fight with your brother, with your mother, your father,” he said with a laugh.
The United boss also described it as a “normal” and “healthy” occurrence, adding: “I let the players and the captain [Bruno Fernandes] calm things down.
“If I see it’s too much, I’ll step into the dressing room”.
For Amorim, such emotions underline the team’s willingness to improve and fight for each other.
The fiery exchange between Amad and Hojlund should only come to the betterment of the team, with United only looking to continue their winning momentum.
United fans will be hoping that the duo will put their anger towards Manchester City when United play in the Manchester derby on Sunday.
