14 players left Manchester United last summer, which generated over €140m in transfer revenue.
However, there are still nine players earning over £150k per week, some of whom are not even regular starters.
A few names include the likes of Casemiro, Mason Mount, Antony, Christian Eriksen and Luke Shaw.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe has made it a priority to acheive future financial sustainability with United, after narrowly avoiding Premier League Profit and Sustianability (PSR) rules breaches this year.
With this in mind, the club will want to offload so-called ‘dead-wood’, which take up a large proportion of the wage bill.

Christian Eriksen has announced that he is leaving the Red Devils at the end of the season.
Danish newspapers Bold and Ekstra Bladet have reported the following on the matter: “As he has stated to Bold, the parties are not talking about extending the collaboration further”.
The Denmark midfielder’s contract is set to expire in the summer and this is a clear indication as any that there won’t be a renewal if neither parties are talking about a renewal.
Eriksen himself has commented on what will decide where he goes next.
It seems that the decision will be made in terms of what will be best for his international career with Denmark.
“It does,” Eriksen said when asked whether his next move will be decided by his international opportunities.
“It will be a bit of a balancing act.
“I’m not getting any younger either, so those considerations are going to be part of an overall decision about where you stand in your career, where you’re going, where the national team is and all that sort of thing.
“I have never given it a thought [previously] because I have played in Tottenham and Inter.
“When I came to Brentford, of course I had to prove that I could play football again, but I had shown my name, and then I came to United after.”
This is not the first time that Eriksen has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
There were reports last month that linked him with a return to Ajax, however his agent Martin Schoots denied these claims.
“The deal is not happening. We can put an end to those speculations,” he said.
Many had also speculated that United were looking to move on from the former Tottenham Hotspur star after an unconvincing second season at the club.
However, the start of the new season has seen Christian Eriksen surprisingly getting a lot more game time than anticipated.
Eriken has started three English Premier League games already, something that very few would have guessed during the summer.
Despite this, Eriksen is set to continue his career away from Old Trafford.
Speaking in August, even the Danish national team coach noted that Eriksen should move elsewhere in search of more game time.
Lars Knudsen said: “Christian is a player who can still contribute a lot. We also saw that during the European Championships.”
“But it is clear that his current situation is unsustainable in the long run.”
“I hope Christian will play football. Whether it’s at Manchester United or somewhere else, time will tell, the fact is that he has to play more,” Knudsen explained.
In two years at United, the midfielder has made 80 appearances, scoring six goals and providing 16 assists.
Eriksen left Brentford in 2022 and joined United on a free transfer.
At 32 years old, Transfermarkt values him at €8m.
Whether United will allow him to see out his contract at Old Trafford or if they will shrewdly look to offload him in January is currently unknown.
