Manchester United secured a dramatic 2-1 victory over Rangers thanks to Bruno Fernandes’ injury-time winner.
The win moves United closer to automatic qualification for the Europa League round of 16.
United now sit fourth in the group stage table and need just one point against FCSB to secure a top-eight finish.
This result brought relief to manager Ruben Amorim after Sunday’s disappointing loss to Brighton.
Following that defeat, Amorim had criticised his players, calling them “perhaps the worst in United’s history.”

United will launch an investigation after Rangers fans were seen in home sections of Old Trafford during Thursday’s Europa League match.
That is according to Chris Wheeler on his report for Daily Mail.
The club has pledged the “strongest possible sanctions” for registered ticket holders who helped sell tickets to away supporters.
While over 3,500 Rangers fans were officially in the away section, many more appeared to secure seats in the home areas.
This led to complaints from United supporters and involvement from the police during the match.
United had implemented preventative measures to restrict away fans from entering home sections ahead of the game.
Despite this, videos of Rangers fans in team colors chanting in home concourses surfaced on social media.

A United spokesperson stated: “We took the strictest possible measures to prevent sales to away fans in home areas.”
Tickets were only sold to individuals on United’s database prior to the draw in August, including hospitality tickets.
Season ticket holders and members were only allowed to forward tickets to others on the database.
Digital ticketing via the club’s app has reduced ticket touting but hasn’t eliminated it entirely.
The club confirmed that all instances of away fans in home sections will be thoroughly investigated.
Registered ticket holders found responsible will face severe penalties.
