Manchester United are very quickly assembling their coaching staff ready for the upcoming season.
Recently Rene Hake has been appointed as the new assistant manager, with Ruud van Nistelrooy returning to England to take up a role on the coaching team.
Now, United add another Dutchman to the team in the form of goalkeeping coach Jelle ten Rouwelaar.
The Athletic have reported that ten Rouwelaar is set to join the Red Devils once a compensation package is agreed for Ajax, the club that was set to be the Dutchman’s new home after leaving Burnley.
The 43-year-old left Burnley after his two year stint at the club when Vincent Kompany made his move to Bayern Munich.
Ten Rouwelaar was a keen favourite of Kompany, having worked with him when the Belgian managed RSC Anderlecht, with Kompany bringing the Dutchman to the Premier League as part of his coaching staff when he moved to Burnley.
The Dutchman was at Anderlecht for two years having joined them from NAC Breda where he started his coaching career.
Having helped Burnley win the EFL Championship in 2022/23, ten Rouwelaar is no stranger to trophies, hopefully being able to add more to his trophy cabinet while at Old Trafford.
