Manchester United may lose up to three centre backs next summer.
Harry Maguire, Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof’s contracts all expire at the end of this season.
Maguire is reportedly waiting to see if he can get more game time under a new manager before making a decision on his future, while United are looking to offload him in January.
Evans turns 37 in January, as the sun sets on his 18-year long career, and is expected to retire soon.
Lindelof has been targetted by multiple Serie A teams, and may struggle for game time at United, with the introduction of Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt.

Therefore, United are looking to strengthen their defence with a young Bundesliga talent.
According to RMC Sport, the Red Devils are interested in RB Leipzig centre back Castello Lukeba.
If they are to approach him, United may face competition from Real Madrid and Liverpool for the 21-year-old’s signature.
Madrid are expected to move for him as early as the January transfer window, while Liverpool have monitored his progress for months.

Lukeba recently signed a one-year contract extension with Leipzig, keeping him at the club until 2029, as his current deal expires in 2028.
However, Leipzig are aware of the interest surrounding the Frenchman and are prepared to be approached in 2025.
They likely extended his contract to increase his transfer value, which Transfermarkt estimates to be €40million.
The defender has made 48 appearances for Leipzig after signing in August 2023.
Last season, Castello Lukeba was called up to the French national team for the first time and also represented his country at the Olympics earlier this year.
