Manchester United are looking like they’re a step closer to offloading veteran midfielder Casemiro.
The defensive-midfielder has found himself demoted to the subs bench, unable to provide the intensity that new manager Ruben Amorim is looking for.
Casemiro was on the list of seven players that United were looking to sell in the summer, however there were no takers.
With the transfer window open again, United are still looking to sell the star, needing to generate funds to start looking at signing new stars.
Now, The Telegraph has reported that the Saudi Pro League could be the star’s next destination.
Al-Nassr are now renewing interest in the midfielder, wanting to reunite him with former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo in a bid to win Ronaldo’s first trophy since joining the club.
The Saudi side were interested in Casemiro last summer, however the Brazilian is reportedly open to the move.
Until recently, Al-Nassr wouldn’t have been able to sign Casemiro, having already registered the maximum eight foreign players to their squad.
However the side have now created space in the squad by selling Ivorian midfielder Seko Fofana to Stade Rennais for €20 million.
They are also working on a deal with Fenerbahce to see Brazilian midfielder Anderson Talisca move to Turkey.
In doing so, Al-Nassr will have both the funds and capacity to bring Casemiro to Saudi Arabia.
