The upcoming transfer window could feel like a full-circle moment for Manchester United as they continue to identify key targets.
In January, United made two significant moves.
The Red Devils signed Patrick Dorgu from Lecce to strengthen the left wing-back position while allowing Antony to join Real Betis on loan.

Dorgu has quickly impressed with his dynamism, while Antony has rediscovered form at Betis.
This has since led to an intriguing transfer domino effect.
To facilitate Antony’s arrival, Betis offloaded a promising right-winger to Serie A side Como for £10.6 million.
That player, Assane Diao, has since thrived under Cesc Fabregas.
He has so far, netted five goals in 12 appearances and is currently catching the attention of United’s scouting network.

According to transfer insider Nicolo Schira on X, a Manchester United scout attended Como’s recent 1-1 draw against Empoli to monitor Diao’s progress.
Following the match, Fabregas offered high praise.
The former Chelsea man stated that the 19-year-old was “the only player I liked” and the only one “who tried to do something.”
Diao’s profile as a direct winger who likes to run to the byline and deliver crosses could make him a strong candidate for Ruben Amorim’s system.
With Geovany Quenda heading to Chelsea, United are expected to be exploring alternative options for a right-wing-back role.
Which potentially means converting a natural winger into an attack-minded full-back.
At 19, Diao remains highly coachable with a very high ceiling.
His ability to adapt quickly in a struggling Como side has only strengthened his reputation.
This is a transfer to watch over the summer, as Manchester United’s recruitment strategy continues to take shape.
