Manchester United have finally, after three weeks of deliberating, finished their post-season review which has ultimately resulted in Erik ten Hag being kept on a manager at Old Trafford.

With his contract due to end in 2025, it’s expected that ten Hag will hold conversations around a contract extension now that his future is more certain.

A report from 90min recently laid out United’s key target areas that need strengthening as left-back, centre-back, midfield and up front.

Already a whole host of players have been linked to meeting these plans and aiming to reinforce the squad ready for next season with the likes of Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez, Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite, Benfica’s Joao Neves and LOSC Lille’s Jonathan David as the main target’s in each of these positions.

However, earlier last month it was reported that the Red Devils had only £35 million at their disposal for summer transfers, which is barely enough for even one of these targets, with a recent bid of €60 million (approximately £50 million) from United for Joao Neves being rejected by the Portuguese club.

Now, Daily Mail are reporting that the figure has been revised and now sits at £50 million.

This is still a very limited amount in comparison of the overhaul that the club is expected to complete in order to deliver a better performance next season.

In order to raise further funds to complete their key transfers, United are looking to offload a number of underperforming players like Antony and Christian Eriksen, with other players like Casemiro attracting attention with big money from clubs in Saudi Arabia.

These sales are aiming to top the transfer fund up to around the £100 million mark helping the Red Devils go through with their current transfer plans.
