Manchester United are still on the search for a quality left-back to fit into Ruben Amorim’s new system.
The Red Devils have been without a left-back for most of the year, with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia out injured.
Whilst the pair are now back into team training, the club are still looking for options from elsewhere to be a natural fit for Ruben Amorim.
The Red Devils have already highlighted Alphonso Davies as a strong candidate to fit into the squad, with the Canadian international out of contract in the summer.
As such, United can enter a pre-contract agreement with the defender, however are up against Real Madrid to do so.

Manchester United eye up Bournemouth defender
The Red Devils are now once more looking to Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez.
United identified Kerkez as a potential replacement for Luke Shaw during the summer, however never acted on it.
However, Florian Plettenberg has now reported that he is back on United’s radar, although not as their first choice.
The Hungarian international is a key member of Bournemouth’s starting squad, having made 45 appearances for the club since joining from AZ Alkmaar in 2023.
However, Kerkez is contracted at the club until 2028, meaning Bournemouth are under no pressure to sell the star.
Milos #Kerkez is drawing interest from several Premier League clubs.
Liverpool is pursuing him, and he’s also on Manchester United’s long list of options. #MUFC are actively searching for a new left-back, but the 21-year-old Hungarian is not currently at the top of their list.… pic.twitter.com/1ZWVBXPTtw
