It’s recently come to lights that Manchester United board member Jean-Claude Blanc has resigned in his role as a club director.

The news emerged as his resignation into the public via companies house with the government website listing his role ending on the 31st March 2025.

Blanc joined United only 12 months ago as the chief executive officer holding the fort until Omar Berrada joint from Manchester City.

After Berrada’s appointment Blanc changed role to become a member of the board.

Before Blanc joined United, the 62 year-old had extensive roles at Juventus, including being their chief executive officer as well as spending 11 years as the CEO of PSG.

Now, a statement from Manchester United has revealed that Blanc isn’t stepping away from the club, but he is in fact changing roles once again.

The statement reads: “Jean-Claude Blanc has stepped down from his position as a director of Manchester United, however he will continue to have an active role in the management of the club in his new position as Chief of International Football Relations and Special Adviser to the board.”

No doubt United are hoping to utilise Blanc’s links from his time in Serie A and Ligue 1 in his new role.
