Manchester United have knocked back an offer for on-loan winger Antony, according to reports.
The Brazilian completed a six-month loan deal to Spanish club Real Betis in January and hit the ground running.
An impressively taken goal against Celta Vigo got Antony off to the best possible start, before goals and assists followed against Real Sociedad and Getafe.
The 25-year-old has also starred in the UEFA Conference League, registering four goal contributions in just five appearances before Real Betis’ exit.
Antony’s form has prompted discussions over his future at Manchester United, with the Red Devils facing a decision in the summer.
An offer has already been rejected for a second loan spell at Real Betis, though, according to The Mirror.
The bid, to keep Antony for the entirety of next season, was rejected, but Real Betis may return in the summer to attempt to complete a permanent move for the winger.
Despite the Brazilian’s exciting form in Spain, his time at Manchester United has so far resulted in disappointment.
Transfer chiefs at Old Trafford signed Antony from Ajax for around £82m in 2022, in order to reunite the winger with his former coach Erik ten Hag.
And while his first season was positive, with the winger registering eight goals and three assists, he could only follow it up with just five goal contributions in the following season.
Antony struggled for game time in the first half of this season, ultimately resulting in Manchester United agreeing to loan him out.
With the Brazilian in his best form since leaving Ajax, Ruben Amorim may see this summer as the best opportunity to recoup some of the fee Manchester United spent to bring him to England.
