Manchester United fans may have a reason to get excited as one of the club’s long-term target’s is currently flying to Manchester.
United have been eyeing up a move for Rosenborg’s Sverre Halseth Nypan, as the youngster caught their eye last summer.
However, at only 17 years old, United couldn’t make a move for the midfielder due to Brexit rules.
British clubs aren’t allowed to sign players under the age of 18 from outside of the UK, meaning The Red Devils had to wait for the youngster’s next birthday.
Thankfully, this took place last month in December, meaning Nypan is now fair game for United to make a move.
Now, Ole K. Sagbakken, a Norwegian journalist has reported that Nypan is currently flying to Manchester.
Although it’s not yet confirmed which club he’s flying to meet with, United’s long-term interest gives fair reason to assume he’s heading to Old Trafford.
It’s recently been reported that Arsenal are also monitoring the star. However, his flight to Manchester instead of London suggests that Arsenal are below United in the pecking order.
This is a breaking story with more to follow.
