Erik ten Hag’s side has been struggling with injuries all season which has been very damaging especially now as the season nears a close and result mean twice as much.

United have a date with Coventry City on Sunday at Wembley in the F.A Cup semi finals.

Heading into the game, ten Hag is without close to ten first team players including 6 defenders which has left the Dutch tactician with Harry Maguire as the only fit senior center back.

The United manager will be delighted to have Antony back in training.

The Brazilian winger missed last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Bournemouth after he felt some discomfort that morning after which it was discussed and agreed he couldn’t travel.

Antony has since returned to training on Tuesday and will be in contention to make the team for Sunday’s game.

Antony’s return is a huge boost to an already depleted squad.

Antony’s injury saw teenager Ethan Wheatley promoted to the senior squad for the first time.

Young Wheatley was spotted in training this week so he may be in contention to make the bench on Sunday.

Erik ten Hag is expected to adress the media at the end of the week ahead of Sunday’s semi final clash and he will give detailed team news updates then.
