Manchester United look set to face a massive blow in their pursuit of one of their top attacking targets.
The club are still trying to adjust to Ruben Amorim’s new system of play, moulding into a 3-4-3 formation.
While the more central players like Matthijs de Ligt and Bruno Fernandes have slotted in seamlessly, the wings are providing some issues.
Amad Diallo is continually working to fit into the right-wing-back role, whilst the left side is unfilled.
With Tyrell Malacia back on the pitch, he took to the role against Arsenal, however, was once again put on the bench against Nottingham Forest.
In his place, Amorim once more relied on Diogo Dalot, United’s left-back cover for most of the season, and year, so far.
However, The Red Devils have scouted an incredibly talented left winger to fit the role in the form of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Manchester United hit a roadblock for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
In 17 matches for Napoli, Kvaratskhelia has grabbed five goals and three assists, helping the club to hold their top spot in Serie A, until this weekend. Napoli suffered a 1-0 loss to Lazio on Sunday, dropping them to second place behind Atalanta.
Last week it was revealed that United face stiff competition from Liverpool and Manchester City who are both scouting the star.
Napoli have been holding out for offers of around £83 million in the coming transfer window. However, these offers may now be non-existent.
Corriere dello Sport has now reported that Kvaratskhelia is close to signing a new contract with Napoli.
The winger is already contracted to the club until 2027, however, the new deal would see him stay with the Italian club until 2029.
With Kvaratskhelia seemingly committing his future to Napoli, any race for the star could well be over.
