Manchester United are aiming for an active conclusion to the transfer window, with pursuits underway for players such as Noussair Mazraoui, Manuel Ugarte, and Matthijs de Ligt.
However, these signings hinge on the club making sales to comply with Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.
The club’s management has reportedly identified a need for a new striker, right-back, center-back, and defensive midfielder before the transfer window closes.
Achieving these additions without player sales seems nearly impossible.
Consequently, Dan Ashworth and Co are actively working to offload players to fund these acquisitions.
A list of potential departures has been drawn up, including star names such as Victor Lindelof, Christian Eriksen, and Scott McTominay.
Additionally, while the club is open to offers for Jadon Sancho and Casemiro, these two are more likely to remain at Old Trafford.
However, Sancho has reportedly agreed in principle to a deal with PSG, but negotiations are stalled over United’s €60 million valuation.
United “open” to selling Antony
And now, a report from TEAMtalk claims United are “open” to selling winger Antony before the summer transfer window closes.
This report comes amid claims from Turkey that Besiktas has ‘made a move’ to sign Antony.
The Brazilian joined the club from Ajax nearly two years ago for over £85 million but has struggled to make a significant impact, scoring only 11 goals in 82 appearances.
Last season, he found the net just three times.
The report further states that United are now prepared to cut their losses on Antony, acknowledging that they overpaid for the winger.
Besiktas have shown interest but cannot meet his current wage demands, and a move to Turkey appears unlikely, as per TEAMtalk.
There has also been interest from the Saudi Pro League, but no immediate bids are expected.
United faces a hectic few weeks as they work to finalize their squad, aiming for a top-four Premier League finish and at least one domestic cup victory in the upcoming campaign.
