One of the names that appeared seemingly out of nowhere was that of Sekou Kone.
The 18-year-old defensive midfielder first appeared on clubs’ radars at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup.
And now United have taken the opportunity to snap up this highly rated youngster and bring him to Manchester.
Manchester United Football Club have officially completed the signing of Mali youngster Sekou Kone.
Kone has joined from Guidars FC in Mali and it’s believed that the fee is around £1m.

That seems like a bargain purchase for a player that has been identified as a super hot prospect.
The club have stated that Sekou Kone will be moving to the academy initially as he adjusts to life in England.
However, it’s believed that they see him a first team player in the future and have already mapped out a path for him to the first team.
For now, United fans can rejoice in knowing that the youngster has put pen to paper on a deal.
Many will be looking forward to seeing how he performs at the club in the coming weeks and months ahead.
Welcome to Manchester, Sekou.
