Manchester United weigh up Lewis Dunk move
According to a report from Fichajes, the Red Devils are eyeing Brighton captain Lewis Dunk, with a potential transfer in the summer of 2025.
Dunk has been a key figure at Brighton for over a decade, having risen through their youth ranks and cementing his place in the first team since 2010.
Now 32 years old, the veteran defender has consistently played a pivotal role in helping the Seagulls remain competitive in the Premier League.
His leadership and experience have been instrumental in Brighton’s rise as a formidable team in the English top flight.
Throughout his long career at Brighton, Dunk has made more than 460 appearances for the club, with over 250 of those coming in the Premier League.
Despite being in the later stages of his career, Manchester United are reportedly considering a move to bring him to Old Trafford, aiming to add further depth and experience to their defense.
United’s injury woes
Last season, Manchester United struggled defensively due to injuries to key players.
This led to significant changes in the summer transfer window, with Raphael Varane departing the club and the arrivals of Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui to strengthen the backline.
However, ten Hag remains keen on signing an experienced central defender, and Dunk fits the bill as a player who can provide stability at the back.

Dunk’s current contract with Brighton runs until 2026, but with his age and contract situation, Manchester United could potentially secure his services for a reduced fee next summer.
While Dunk is focused on his role at Brighton, he would reportedly be open to a move to Manchester United if the opportunity arises.
With United weighing their defensive options, Dunk’s experience and contract situation make him an attractive target for the Red Devils as they continue to assess potential signings for the future.
