Manchester United are fresh off another devastating defeat, this time losing to Brighton & Hove Albion 3-1.
The loss showed how Ruben Amorim needs to remodel his squad drastically to compete successfully in the Premier League and beyond.
Speaking after the game, Amorim commented: “We are the worst team maybe in the history of Manchester United”.
Now, the Red Devils are hoping to start making moves in the January transfer window to change this.
The club are on the very of their first sale as Alejandro Garnacho looks poised to sign for Napoli, with the Serie A side improving on their £40 million initial bid in an attempt to sign the Argentine.
Working as more of an impact substitute under Amorim, Garnacho is hoping for more gametime with Napoli, joining former teammate Scott McTominay.
However, United are now starting their own negotiations in Italy for one of their key defensive targets to fix problems on the left-flank.

Manchester United advance their pursuit of Patrick Dorgu
Corriere dello Sport has reported that United are now advancing their interest in Lecce left-back, Patrick Dorgu.
United first started monitoring the 20-year-old in December, sending scouts to their fixture with Juventus where they drew 1-1.
Now, the report explains that The Red Devils have opened conversations with Lecce about Dorgu’s availability.
It’s unknown as of yet the results of the conversations, however, it’s now doubt the that the versatility that Dorgu brings would be a huge asset to Amorim.
Despite being a left-back originally, Lecce are using the Denmark international as a right winger. However, the star has gained experience playing in all roles across either flank.
This adaptability gives a massive boost for Amorim by being an ideal option for the the left-wing-back role that the manager is trying to develop.
With only two weeks of the transfer window left, United fans won’t have to wait long to see if the talented youngster will be gracing Old Trafford this season.
