Manchester United have managed to lock down their head coach after yet another impressive season.
Whilst the men’s side have been significantly struggling, having their wort Premier League season to date, the women have continued in their winning ways.
The club have now officially confirmed that women’s team manager Marc Skinner is set for another two years with United, putting pen to paper on a deal that keeps him in place until June 2027.
Speaking about his new contract, Skinner commented: “It has been an absolute privilege to serve as head coach for this fantastic football club for the past four years, and I am delighted to be extending my time in the role for at least a further two years.”
He continued: “We are building a young, hungry team with the aim of challenging consistently for further trophies. There is still more hard work ahead, including this season, but the players and staff have already shown their determination to succeed, and I am looking forward to us taking the next steps in our journey together.”

Manchester United women success under Marc Skinner
Since taking charge of the women’s side at United in 2021, Skinner has lead the team to the club’s first trophy by winning the FA Cup last year after making it to the final in the 2022/23 season.
In the Women’s Super League, Skinner’s side came second in the 2022/23 campaign, achieving Champions League football for the first time.
This season, the women are currently sat in third place holding the league’s best defensive record and still battling in the FA Cup with a semi-final to come.
Manchester United’s technical director spoke about Skinner’s new contract commenting: “Marc’s record since taking charge speaks for itself, having delivered our first major women’s silverware and firmly established us among the leading teams in the WSL.”
he continued: “After a major overhaul last summer, we have an exciting, developing squad ready to compete for further success, and we are convinced that Marc is the right coach to lead that process.”
