Manchester United have been having a horrible season and just about every player has been having it rough but more so multiple time Champions League winner Casemiro.

The Brazilian who many consider on of the greatest defensive midfielders of all time seems to be on a free fall this season with his performances being a mere shadow of what he once was, a globally revered CDM.

Last night’s embarrassing 4-0 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace was a true testament to Casemiro’s more than evident decline.

He was at fault for one of Palace’s goals and was dribbled past 7 times , albeit he had to deputize at centre back to compensate for the lack of any fit central defenders barring Jonny Evans who only returned to training a few days ago.

To put this into context, Liverpool’s Virgil Van-Dijk has only been dribbled past twice, all season.

This steady decline has birthed some reports of his imminent departure come the summer.

This coupled with the fact that he is United’s highest earner at an astonishing 350,000 pounds a week adds some meat to these reports as INEOS are clear on their intent of cutting United’s astronomically high wage bill.

A new report from TEAMtalk affirms these reports claiming that The Red Devils are attempting to find a buyer for Casemiro.

The report claims that the player’s agents are in the process of meeting numerous clubs abroad to find his ideal next destination as he is open to trying out a new challenge.

A reunion with former teammate and friend Cristiano Ronaldo may be in the works as TEAMtalk confirms negotiations are going on with important figures in the Gulf State to determine which Saudi League outfit would fit Casemiro best.

“In addition to Al-Nassr – the club of his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo – sources say that Al-Ahli, who are actively looking for a new midfielder, and Al Hilal are in the race for his signature,” the report reads.

All these reports may come to pass as he is ageing and on very high wages which is against INEOS’philosophy of running the club which is young British players who show world class potential and a much lower wage bill.
