Manchester United are developing a clear transfer flow with Bayern Munich of late, with yet another Bayern star appearing on United’s shortlist.
This summer saw United make a double signing of Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui, helping to solidify the defence.
The pair arrived at Old Trafford for a combined sum of £50 million, instantly asserting themselves into the starting line-up.
Under the new management of Ruben Amorim, Mazraoui has become a more central player to his natural role of right-back, slotting into the back three next to de Ligt effortlessly.
As such, Amorim has spoken out, calling Mazraoui “the future” of United. The Portuguese manager commented: “He is a top player because he understands the game, he is very good defensively, very good one-on-one.”
He then added: “I think he is the future of our team, we need more players like Nous.”
However, the links with Bayern don’t stop there, with United looking to Alphonso Davies as their priority left-back target in January.
The Red Devils are arranging a meeting with Davies in January to hopefully agree terms over a pre-contract agreement to see him move to Old Trafford when his contract ends in the summer.
However, United are now looking at another Bayern star, this time in midfield.

Manchester United scout Bayern Munich star, Konrad Laimer
Ruben Amorim is looking for a replacement for Christian Eriksen who is set to leave in the summer, and Casemiro who the club are trying to sell.
United’s search has led them to Bayern once more, focusing on 27-year-old midfielder, Konrad Laimer.
Sky Germany has reported that Laimer is of interest to Amorim due to his endurance and the intensity he provides on the pitch.
Despite being a central midfielder, Laimer often features as a right-back, filling the space that’s appeared from Mazraoui’s exit.
This versatility will no doubt be a bonus to Amorim who likes to be able to utilise his players to cover different roles.
This season, Laimer made 16 appearances, helping the German giants to lead the Bundesliga, however were recently knocked out of the DFB-Pokal by Bayer Leverkusen.
