Manchester United are looking to fellow Premier League side Arsenal with the aim of recruiting even more young talent.

In the summer, The Red Devils lured Chido Obi-Martin from the Arsenal academy to Old Trafford.

The 17-year-old joined United’s under-18s side who are currently undefeated in the Under-18s Premier League.

With five goals and an assist in five games, including a hat-trick against Nottingham Forest, Obi-Martin is certainly giving United fans something to get excited about.

However, now The Red Devils are hoping to bring another Gunner to follow in his footsteps.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that United have made contact with Arsenal for 18-year-old defender Ayden Heaven.

The youngster currently plays for Arsenal’s under-21s side as a centre-back; however, he is also capable of playing as a left-back or in defensive midfield.

Heaven made his competitive debut for Arsenal against Preston in the Carabao Cup where he made a ten-minute cameo as The Gunners won 3-0.

However, aside from this, Heaven has only seen action in the youth leagues.

United are currently leading the race for the youngster, currently leading competition from Barcelona and Eintracht Frankfurt.

However, Arsenal have also offered the star a new contract as Heaven’s time at the Emirates ends this summer.

Whilst it’s unknown at this time where Heaven will end up next season, his potential is clearly shown by the high calibre of clubs looking to sign him.
