Manchester United are now looking at the prospect of life without Alejandro Garnacho.
The 2024 Puskas Award winner has been the subject of interest from Napoli as the Italian club searched for a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Now, it’s been reported that Garnacho has agreed terms with the Serie A side, as their sporting director recently met with the Argentine’s agent.
The verbal agreement in place is set for a five-year deal of around £2.5 million, with his annual salary set to increase each year.
However, the clubs are still yet to reach an agreement over the transfer fee, with Napoli’s £38 million bid being significantly less than the £70 million asking price United are wanting.
That said, with Napoli keen to get the deal over the line, no doubt negotiations will continue for a quick resolution.
Closer to home, United are weighing up their options for Garnacho’s replacement.
Whilst Garnacho was an essential part of the starting line-up under Erik ten Hag, the 20-year-old is much more of an impact substitute under Ruben Amorim.
As such, United aren’t necessarily looking for someone to step into the starting eleven, with the likes of Amad Diallo and Bruno Fernandes usually lining up behind the striker.
However, The Red Devils are looking to a Premier League star as a potential replacement to their outbound youngster.

Manchester United consider move for Bryan Mbeumo
RMC Sport, as reported by The Express, have announced that United are one of three Premier League clubs monitoring Brentford’s Bryan Mbeuno.
The Red Devils find themselves joining The North London Derby, with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur looking to sign the Cameroon international.
With 13 goals and four assists in 25 games, Mbeumo has had more goal contributions this season than Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund combined, with the pair scoring a total of 11 goals with a combined three assists.
Whilst the star is registered as a right winger, he can also be used as a striker or behind the striker, giving Amorim versatility to use in attack.
The three clubs have reportedly been monitoring Mbeumo for some time now, ready to make a move over the next two weeks.
