Manchester United flopped attacker Jadon Sancho has been having something of a renaissance on loan at Borussia Dortmund most recently starring in their UEFA Champions League Semi final win against PSG at Signal Iduna Park.

His performance that night caught the eye of just about everyone including his estranged manager Erik ten Hag.

When asked about Sancho’s performance, ten Hag answered surgically explaining how the club has been monitoring Sancho all along and they haven’t made a decision on his future.

“We are close in that process. We are visiting games where Jadon was performing. We had a visit with him, we talk with him and we will keep going with this process, ” ten Hag told reporters last week.

A report from Spanish website Defensa Central as cited by Football365 claims that the Englishman has been recommended to Real Madrid by Jude Bellingham and Zinedine Zidane.

“The duo believe that the Man Utd winger ‘would make a career wearing the white jersey’ but Real Madrid president Florentino Perez ‘does not seem to agree very much,”the report reads.

A lot of uncertainty remains around Sancho especially if Erik ten Hag remains as Manchester United manager as their relationship has time and time again been referred to as irreparable.

The best option would perhaps be staying at Dortmund where it seems his heart lies evidenced by his performances in the Black and Yellow.

The feeling is mutual as Dortmund manager confirmed last week stating how pleased both parties are with Sancho being at Dortmund.

“We are really happy with him. From all sides we are happy to have him in our team. I think you can feel that he is happy to be with us, ” Terzic stated.

It remains to be seen where Sancho will end up come June 1st and he is no longer a loanee at Dortmund.
