This weekend saw Manchester United take on Manchester City at Old Trafford as the final time the pair would face off this season.
Unfortunately for fans, however, the Manchester Derby was relatively uneventful, ending in a goalless draw.
Bruno Fernandes tried his best to orchestrate some attacking play for the Red Devils however the lack of a reliable striker saw these attempts fall short.
On the other side of the pitch, Ruben Amorim’s defence held strong to deny The Citizens any chance to claim the victory.
Whilst the sides fought well, neither team managed to grab a goal, being the first time since 2020.
Interestingly, it’s also the first time in ten years that United didn’t field a Mancunian in their line-up to face City with Kobbie Mainoo out injured and Marcus Rashford on loan.
However, reports have now emerged condemning the behaviour of some of the home fans, with police action even taking place with one account.

Manchester United fans berate Phil Foden and slap Jack Grealish
The United fans have been condemned by the FA due to chants regarding Phil Foden’s mother, with Chris Wheeler commenting: “I understand the FA are aware of the chants about Phil Foden’s mother by Man Utd fans at Old Trafford yesterday and condemn them, but won’t take any action because they don’t breach regulations.”
Alongside this another fan has been arrested and charged for slapping Jack Grealish at the end of the match.
As Grealish was exiting the pitch, he was called over by one of the fans in the bottom of the Stretford End by the tunnel, before being assaulted which has caused a police investigation.
The Daily Mail has reported that a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Alfie Holt, 20, of Haven Drive, Droylsden, has been charged with assault. He will appear at Manchester Magistrates Court.
“This charge relates to an incident which took place at Old Trafford Football Club yesterday.”
Neither United nor City have made comment on the situation due to the live investigation taking place.
