Manchester United are once more being hit by a run of injuries, with the most recent affecting several stars who were due for international duty.
Prior to this week, Erik ten Hag’s men only had three significant injuries in their ranks in the form of Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Leny Yoro.
Both Shaw and Malacia have been out injured since the start of the year, leaving the squad without a natural left-back for the end of last season and the start of the new campaign.
As for Yoro, the new signing had a rough start to his career at Old Trafford, being taken off through injury in the first half of the pre-season tour opening match with Arsenal in the States.
The centre-back suffered a fractured metatarsal which has ruled him out long-term, with the 18-year-old yet to make his competitive debut.
Unfortunately in United’s Premier League loss to Spurs, two more men joined the list, with Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount being taken off injured.

Then, tragedy struck once more in the game with Aston Villa, with centre-back Harry Maguire limping off the pitch at the end of the first half.
Since then Alejandro Garnacho has spoken on his social media, explaining he’s missed out on a slot in the Argentina national squad this international break due to concerns surrounding a knee injury.
However now, another set of stars are suffering from injury, causing them to miss out on international duty.
Manchester United stars withdraw from international duty
Firstly, it appears that Kobbie Mainoo’s injury is a little more concerning than first thought, with the midfielder originally called up to the England squad, but has since dropped out.

However, a new name to the injury list is that of Noussair Mazraoui who was set to play for the Morocco national team but has had to withdraw through injury, much like Mainoo.

The extent of either of these injuries is not yet known, however with the pair now set to remain at Carrington over the international break, no doubt more information with be released in due course.
