Despite the transfer window now coming to a close, Manchester United could still manage to part ways with Casemiro, bringing in much-needed transfer funds.
The Brazilian has seen himself fall down the pecking order at Old Trafford since Manuel Ugarte joined in the summer and Ruben Amorim replaced Erik ten Hag as head coach in November.
The veteran midfielder fails to bring the intensity that Amorim is looking for, with Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo often being picked in the starting line-up.
Now, youngster Toby Collyer is making his mark as an impact substitute, Casemiro has now had a run of five Premier League games just sat on the bench.
As such, the club are looking to offload the 32-year-old, with his contract in place until 2026.
However, The Red Devils might not have to wait until the summer to sell the star, despite the closing of the transfer window.

Galatasaray look to Casemiro
ESPN has reported that Turkish champions Galatasaray are looking to bring in another midfielder this month, with the club potentially renewing interest in Casemiro.
Whilst the European transfer window has closed, the window in Turkey is still open until 11th February 2025.
This means that Turkish clubs still have a week left before their deadline day, with European clubs still able to sell players to Turkish teams until the close of play next Tuesday.
However, Galatasaray aren’t they only option. It was recently reported that Besiktas, under the new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, are also interested in the star.
If United can get a deal across the line to part ways with the Brazilian, not only will the transfer fees help to ease some of the club’s financial pressures, but the freeing up of his £350,000 per week wage will also clear much needed capacity in the salary budget.
